How to earn Recognition in Service Excellence 2026

Check out our most frequently asked questions about the 2026 Recognition in Service Excellence program.

Written by Esi Nkrumah

Recognition in Service Excellence is the next chapter of the Sourcr Awards, with a new name and a continued focus on recognising the highest-performing recruiter and agency in each market.

Recognition in Service Excellence is earned by recruitment professionals who consistently deliver outstanding service, based on verified client and candidate reviews collected throughout the year.

Why the change from “awards”?

"Awards" implies a judged, submission-based competition with one big ceremony night. Recognition in Service Excellence better reflects what the program actually is – data-led recognition using verified review and placement data to identify sustained service excellence over time.

The new name also clearly differentiates the program from the SEEK Annual Recruitment Awards, which remains a separate, submission-based and judged program. As our program is now part of SEEK's brand architecture, having distinct naming matters.

Note: If you are a legacy Sourcr Award winner, your awards will remain on your profile, updated to reflect the new branding and category naming conventions. This will happen when we announce the 2026 recognised recruiters and agencies in Feb 2027.

How can recruiters and agencies earn recognition?

To earn 2026 recognition, agencies and recruiters need to first meet the eligibility criteria. Once the criteria are met, we calculated a balanced score using three metrics.

Three metrics:

  • Star rating – your overall star rating

  • Review quantity – how many verified reviews you receive in the category* and overall in 2026

  • Review conversion – how often your review requests turn into completed verified reviews* from 2026 placements (completed reviews ÷ outstanding requests)

*Categories are determined by the industry and location recorded in the recruiter's placement details. We pull this from your ATS integration – or, if you add a placement manually, from the ‘Job Category’ field.

* Only verified client and candidate feedback that has been matched and linked to a placement is considered for the program. Unverified third-party testimonials don't contribute to total review count or profile rating.

How do I know if I am eligible?

Recruiters

  • Have a free SEEK Recruiter Profile account;

  • Collect at least 5 verified reviews from clients or candidates in 2026; and

  • Receive at least 1 verified review in the 120 days leading up to 31 December 2026.

Agencies

  • Have at least 70% of recruiters receive one or more verified reviews on SEEK Recruiter Profile in the 120 days leading up to 31 December 2026.

Note: You can log in to your SEEK Recruiter Profile account and check your analytics dashboard. You’ll see whether you qualify and how you’re tracking against the relevant benchmark.

Why is review conversion part of the calculation?

SEEK Recruiter Profile makes it easy to send review requests after every placement. Whether clients or candidates complete the review largely comes down to:

  • The strength of the relationship; and

  • The quality and memorability of the service delivered.

High conversion tells us a recruiter or agency consistently earns feedback from a wide range of clients and candidates – not just a handful of fans. That's a strong signal of genuine service excellence.

Do reviews from last year count?

No. Only reviews linked to placements made in the 2026 calendar year count towards 2026 Recognition in Service Excellence. Transitioning to a calendar-year model ensures each accolade reflects the year your results were delivered. Older reviews still show on profiles and support credibility, but they don’t influence the 2026 results.

Is recognition fair across different recruitment models?

Yes. Our recognition methodology uses a balanced scoring approach to recognise service excellence across recruiters and agencies working in different industries, markets and placement volumes.

It considers the quality and consistency of verified feedback alongside reviews received relative to placements made, rather than relying on review numbers alone. This gives both high- and lower-volume businesses a fair opportunity to be recognised.

Is Recognition in Service Excellence the same as the SEEK Annual Recruitment Awards?

No. Recognition in Service Excellence is earned, not entered. It uses verified client and candidate reviews and placement data to recognise the highest-performing recruiter and agency in each market.

The SEEK Annual Recruitment Awards are a separate, submission-based program judged by a panel of experts. They recognise the dedication and innovation of recruitment professionals.

Why aren’t all categories available in my region?

Categories vary based on the size of the SEEK Recruiter Profile user base in each region. This helps make sure each category has enough participants to provide a meaningful comparison.

Recognition is currently available in selected SEEK regions, including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong. As the SEEK Recruiter Profile user base grows, more categories will become available.
